Vogue’s February 2010 Shoot: “Edgy Equestrian Fashion”

Vogue saddles up for “equestrian” inspired style, in this month’s issue.

Cover Story: “Model Constance Jablonski makes her American debut in an equestrian-themed editorial in the Vogue February 2010 issue. Photographed by Raymond Meier and styled by Elissa Santisi, the Vogue February 2010 shoot features spring’s hottest new accessories including the saddle-leather hobo bag and saddle-strapped watch. With creamy leathers and rich, complementary palettes, Meier captures this regal barnyard shoot perfectly with his hyper-real style.”

To be equestrian, (if you haven’t caught on the theme already) is to wear horse back riding attire. But haven’t this trend out for awhile? I mean, if you look at designers such as Ralph Lauren, it put a inspiration for this spring.

To all my little fashion monsters – XO !

A PaperDoll Tribute: RIP Alexander McQueen

British fashion icon, Alexander McQueen (6 March 1969 – 11 February 2010) who died at 40, committed suicide and found in his home earlier this morning in London, when his mother passed away days before.

He was indeed a mastermind in his work. Such a tradegy. May he rest in peace, and his legacy lives on in the fashion world.

So I went to the store to get a relaxer and pads, and I kinda detoured to the rack of magazines! And so, I picked up Seventeen and I started to read it. Not to mention this month’s issue is pretty good! I keep flipping through pages and it caught my eye…Nomination for a lucky Real Girl to be on the cover! I mean, about time because I always see celebrities on the cover of magazines although when off set they are “real” girls I just think somebody out the ordinary should be on the cover for once. I’d like for everyone to nominate me for the “real” girl cover for next month’s issue. You can cast your vote at ann@seventeen.com or post at facebook.com/annshoket stating : “I’d like to nominate real girl, Alexis Morrison to be on the cover of seventeen magazine for next month’s issue.” Thank You.

"Kickin' It Up A Notch"

Lately, I’ve been thinking to kick this blog up a notch. After a month, I think I’ve found my niche — strictly high fashion. Even though, I stick in something here or there, I didn’t drift from why I originally started this blog, as for fun and practice, a place where I’am allowed to express my feelings, and to show that 14 year old can go far where dreams can take her. After all, god blessed me along with a pair of wings. I soar far out so that I’m in my own world that nobody can take me out of, and with a little determination, I will get there…slowly, but surely without a doubt.
